For the noobs. Alu and all ya other pros don't need this.
From personal experience:

1. Stick with your team. Nothing's a better poach for marauding Rocks than a stray unit. You also tend to kill better with your team.

2. Follow others of your unit type. This enables you to watch and learn, as well as practice using that type of unit.

3. Don't be an idiot. Charging into a bunched up team gets you killed. Back to point one; stay in a group. Following someone for a long distance also tend to get you trapped.

4. (Tentative) Escaping Beam Specials: Special attack the air, then MCA real fast and AA/DD plus space bar. There's a split second lag, especially if you're right on top of the gun barrel shooting the beam. Sometimes I can do it but not all the time.

5. MCA climb: as you make a melee attack, you recover a little boost. So, dash ahead and up, melee the air and MCA, then dash again and MCA, repeat until you get up to where you need to.

6. Beam dodging: If you're dashing forwards and you know that some guy is holding down his right mouse button, quickly swing your mouse around so your flight path oscillates. This throws off both auto and manual aim, especially for beam rifles.

7. Tactical layout: Rocks, Scissors and Papers. This is literally the one layout that would ever work. Rocks smack into enemy lines, Scissors keeping a barrage and Papers raping everything in front of them. Scissors are not unimportant; their manuverability allows tem to dodge and hold off enemy Rocks and defend slow Papers, without whose damaging capabilities no regular fight can be won.

Good guide. MUCH better than the "best guides evar" that certain people were posting earlier.

+ reps.

I'll give reps to this one too. Lots of ppl tend to rush in for an enemy with low hp and end up being in a trap and get gang banged. Don't get greedy!!!

here's 2 more thing u might wanna add. In team fights always follow rocks because rocks always initiate first. And if you happen to be the rock, make sure ur teammates are following you before charging in. Two, there's a rear view button so use it often to check if ur being chased or allies following. Default for that button should be middle mouse button but u can change it to anything u want in the settings.

50% of the time if I use I teleport, I tele in the same spot = =

For rocks, timing is the key. A good rock has good timing to move in for the kill. Knowing when to go in and out is the biggest key. If there's only one paper and unaware of my presence, I just blast in and kill it. Once I alert their teammates, I run off.

shining example of impatience: fighting a K Ball with my new Stark Jegan. His superior range was pretty much pinning me down until I got a bit more up close. He charged at me, I dodged and spammed W2 and W3 and raped him in about six seconds.
Three draws in a row with no money, lol

in the rock duel, u gotta be patience and wait for an opening. Who ever makes a mistake first dies because 5 hit combo especially A rank to S rank usually means death.
