| This has actually been on my mind for a while, and i just confirmed it the other day. I tested the sniping range of a CR zaku II and a GM sniper custom, the GM sniper was able to snipe the zaku II in scope mode from a distance that the zaku II's magella canon in scope mode could not reach. So i was just wondering what are the major differences between beam and ballistics snipers that stand out the most within the game. Any info on this would be really appreciated, thanks. | |

| The "range" varies from suit to suit. I've been told many times that the Guntank has the longest range of any sniper. (of course the range extends when "Sniper Precision" activates, so it tends to vary a lot) Beam snipers (naturally) fire a beam that can pierce through enemies. However, its very precise and if you miss, you miss. Shell snipers get "splash damage" which means if you hit the suit, you also make a small AOE damage around the "sniped" suit. If you miss, you stilll might hit the target with "splash damage" as well. Another thing I've noticed is that "shell snipers" need more room to snipe, as their shots explode on impact. There have been MANY times I've had an enemy in my sights, and the shell hits something next to me. Beam snipers, as I mentioned before, fire a smaller piercing shot, and don't seem to need as much room. (if there is an wall in front of your rifle/cannon, you'll still hit the wall though! XD) | |

GM Sniper II, WZC, Gundam (G), Super Gundam (with precision snipe skill part), Duel Assault Shroud, GM Sniper Custom, Long Duel Dagger, GM Cannon, Guncannon, BR Ez8... - Quote :

Believe me, i've played against Chese in his Dual AS, and i freakin got owned before i could even reach him. 1 Hit and there goes half my HP. Also his accuracy unbelievable. | |

| Yeah, i tried quick snipe before, it's hard to use. I think it takes advantage of the motion of landing to cancel out the charge right? | |

| yea, and certain units quick sniper easier than others. Those that doesn't have a huge animation will quick snipe better. Such as Guntank, Xamel, and greatest quicksnipe unit, AR Duel. | |
