 Different between Speed And Agilty??

PostSubject: Different between Speed And Agilty??   Fri Apr 16, 2010 7:58 am

What is the different between speed and agility?? Agility is for longer booster and speed is for how fast you hit someone, or decrease delay or something?? Is it good if I put Attack and Speed at God Gundam?? Thanks

speed = movement speed
agility = reaction speed and how fast guns are raised/melee speed

Hm, in that case, won't adding agility and speed into rock suits that fight using MCA like Justice and Sword Strike gonna make MCA easier and faster to pull off?

yes, agility is used for your initial hit speed and to increase the speed at which you combo. so if two rocks go to melee each other at the exact same time, the one with higher agility will win. agility also increases the speed at which you switch weapons. so if you go to combo and switch from your melee to your next part of the combo, you will pull of the combo faster and there will be less lag in between the weapon switch

i recommend putting attack and agility on your god gundam, since god gundam's combos can finish off most units from full hp. the only problem you will have is getting special'd part way through. so increased agility will help get more of your combo done and might even help you finish them off before they use their special mid combo.

Most S ranks are better off with hp+def. Only some are worth putting something else in it. Some As even.

Attack speed isn't everything. Survival is.

A def+hp buffed Freedom is gonna be such a bitch. Hm, I guess an unit like Justice's better off with def and hp too right?

hp and defense provide the two lowest increases from custom and oc points. so in a s rank they are the lowest increases out of every possibility. yes it is good to survive but there are other ways to survive then just having good amounts of hp and defense. a smart god gundam wont rush into the heat of battle if it can be avoided. if thats your style then put into defense since it provides a greater increase than hp, according to the custom and oc point charts ive seen.

no problem, as for boost duration, i dont think agility effects it. if you want more duration you could use the newtype awakening parts, other then that, conserve your boost and make sure you are always aware how much you have. the strongest ms isnt always the winner, tactics are a big part of this game as well.

I'd read that you don't get to increase your boost. I think it was Alucius who talked about that or someone in the guide section.

In that case, i have only this to say: You lack insight and experience.

For S ranks, HP has higher gains than def, and thus are best to be thrown onto custom points. Which is good, cause it reduces both damage and tanks spec away.

And def, while one might not make a huge difference, when you get to OC4 onwards, the addition becomes great. You obviously haven't seen a hp+def T3 and GN Arms, two bulky rocks with superior long range capabilities. Add that up with T3's Cry of Peacecraft / GN Arm's paper def, they become great long range attackers.

Just because their increases are smaller than other stats doesn't mean they're useless. hp and def are incredibly useful in tandem with T3's Cry of Peacecraft. Sure there's better ways to survive, like dodging. But reinforce defenses, and dodge like a fly, you become the rook of the chessboard. double the survival. Longer you stay in game, the more damage you do. Better than bursts and die to make a 3v4.

And "a smart god gundam wont rush into the heat of a battle"? Irrelevant. Sneak attacks, homings. there's no hiding. God already has a monstrous attack. Its better to reinforce its weak defenses.

never said defense wasnt a good skill to have. i was just saying there are two ways to go about it. attack and agility are good if your a sly god gundam that knows the appropriate time to attack and hp and defense are excellent if you want to serve as an ultimate tanking god. which one to chose all depends on game style and preference, which is the basic point of customization. also mislooked the point that hp is about equal to defense for s ranks, so thanks for correcting me on that, still its not recommended to use hp over defense for anything else. i found this guide and base a lot of my customization on it.

so as the guide says for s ranks, hp over defense. so if i get a FAZZ, should i put on hp? im not sure if will of a newtype gets a boost from defense like thinks like defense up and fortress.

Since FAZZ is a S rank suit, you should go with HP since upping HP actually works better than upping your def. Alucius had a test on that where the one who was added with HP taken less damage than the one who upped defense. Well, not to say that it'd taken less damage, but probably because since you upped your HP, you basically have a longer hp so the same attack won't had been so effective. Wasn't there a few skills that by passes defenses? Or was it a spec attack?

No, you don't need attack and agility to be sly.

Sly + Defense = one tough fly

Agility is useless for God, for machine cannons are hardly affected by agility, since its just firing from the chest, all of its melee are already top-notch, and it doesn't need upper hands in melee due to Hyper Mode. And even without attack, it can already annihilate lone enemies. Speed is useless too, since most S rank rocks already achieve the maximum speed of 27.6. Anything beyond that and there will be no difference in distance covered in boosting. That leaves to reinforce the defenses.

As I said, HP not only does better for S ranks, and adds another inch of protection from specs which comes at the worst possible time. Considering God's strengths come from melee, there's no doubt it'll be under heavy spec fire. And surviving a spec makes every single bit of difference.

i have seen that test that Alucius posted where he showed that hp is better than defense, however that only applies for a and s rank that dont have defense skills. obviously when getting special'd you would rather have hp since specials dont take defense into account, but what i want to know is if defense gets a boost due to will of a newtype.

yea i know what you mean. my friend plays a god gundam and put all his points into attack, however he tries to go right into the middle of it all. he gets special'd all the time, it happens to most rocks who have long combos

For rocks, custom hp and OC def is the way to go. Sice ur a rock, u'll take all that extra damage reaching ur target, so why not?

I would rather go full Custom Def + OC HP so as Justice I can stand up to bombardments while I dash into the den of the enemy.

yea he pretty much 1 combos every ms in the game. we also played against a neue ziel the one time in a point match and my friend had the highest score with the neue ziel being the second from the bottom. not sure if it was just a bad neue ziel but my friend said that it was a joke versus his god gundam.

personally I wouldnt go with either of those. I am putting my custom and oc points on defense for my br regelg. its defense command skill increases their effectiveness. but if you want to know which is better between attack and special, I would say attack. only because special removes the defense command boost your entire team gets, so you probably wont want to use it often, and the br regelg can spam between its grenades and missiles, so attack would do very well at dealing some serious damage.
